Our Deed Poll documents are also accepted my all UK organisations like banks, building societies, school (if changing a child's name) etc. Occasionally some organisations might require additional proof of change of name as well as a Deed Poll. This is why we recommend that you change your passport in your new name first, by sending the Deed Poll document to the Passport Office together with an application for a new passport. Once you have your passport in your new name, you can use your Deed Poll and the Passport to change your name on your Bank accounts etc.
Our Delivery Policy
Deed Poll by email orders will be sent to the email address entered on the order form within a few hours. If orders are placed out of working hour, the order will be sent the start of next working day.
Deed Poll by post orders are despatched the next working day of receiving your order. All orders are sent by royal mail first class post. On average customers should expect to receive their orders within 2-3 working days.
Please Note: Orders will only be despatched once the payment has cleared. Cheque and PayPal eCheque payments can take up to 7-9 working days to clear.
Returns / Cancellation Policy
Deed Poll documents are prepared by the information entered by the customer and can not be returned for a refund.
The UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 allow cancellation of your order within seven working days. However, as we draft the Deed Poll before the seven day cancellation period, you may only cancel your order before we have started drafting your Deed Poll. This is in accordance with section 13.1(a) of The Distance Selling Regulations. Please note, by placing an order for a Deed Poll you agree to waive your order cancellation right under the Distance Selling regulation.
If we make a mistake
We use automated processes to make sure your details are drafted onto your Deed Poll exactly as you specify, if however there is a mistake made, we will issue you a new document free of charge.
Deed Poll for Children
Only a person with parental responsibility may apply and use our Deed Poll service to change a child's name. You will also need consent from everyone with parental responsibility for the child. You would need proof of consent together with the Deed Poll document to be able to get your child's details updated. We will not be held responsible if your Deed Poll is refused due to insufficient supporting documents and our money back guarantee does not cover such issues.
